The bowlers come out in numbers to support the Perfect Delivery Joburg Bowls Association Fours 2026 finals at the Randburg Bowls Club.

The Randburg Bowls Club recently hosted the semi-finals and finals of the Perfect Delivery Joburg Bowls Association Fours 2026, bringing together top teams from across the city for the tournament’s exciting finals.

Bowlers from various clubs turned out in force to support their teammates.

After a long day, Belgravia Bowling Club faced Bryanston Sports Club in the men’s final, while two Linden Bowling Club teams competed for gold in the ladies’ final. Belgravia emerged victorious, taking home the gold medals.

Captain of the winning Linden team, Tracy-Lee Botha, explained that, as a team, they had a difficult build-up leading to the final. “We played very strong teams in the last 16 and in the quarter finals. We are extremely happy to have won the final. Even our semis, against Bryanston, were very tough. They came out firing.

They played very well, but we managed to take an early lead, which made it difficult and put them under a lot of pressure. We did not play the last two innings, and that speaks volumes about the team’s performance during these games.”

Botha said that having two teams in the final is a huge step forward for Linden. “I don’t remember the last time we had two teams in the final. It is a huge achievement for the club. We are starting to build up the membership and getting strong competitive players.”

Carlin Silk, president of the Johannesburg Bowls Association, explained that they had a fantastic finals day at Randburg Bowls Club, and the competition was amazing.

“There’s high-calibre bowling from all our players. I think today was a testament to the quality of our players.

Perfect Delivery has been a long-time sponsor of the sport and sponsor of Johannesburg Bowls Association. We really appreciate their continued success and support.”

The competition began in mid-January and is part of Johannesburg Bowls Association’s annual competition calendar. “This is our force competition. It’s actually our second competition of the calendar. The support here was fantastic.

We had a couple of clubs with multiple teams in the semi-finals and the finals, and they came with huge support.

Probably some of the biggest support that we’ve seen in previous years. So, it’s been a fantastic atmosphere to watch the games while we’ve enjoyed the time.”
