Police offer R100 000 reward for information about Cosmo City murder
Simon Kekana was shot dead outside his home on Arkansas Crescent.
Honeydew police have again asked anyone from the community who knows about a certain Cosmo City murder to come forward.
There is a R100 000 reward for information that will lead to the arrest and conviction of a suspect or suspects responsible for the crime.
Honeydew Police Station spokesperson Captain Balan Muthan said at about 20:30 on April 13, Simon Kekana and his wife Naomi were towing a Toyota Avanza that had broken down outside their yard.
There, on Arkansas Crescent, two men carrying firearms approached them.

The suspects told them to keep quiet and went to Kekana who was inside the vehicle, and shot him.
He was rushed to Leratong Hospital, but later succumbed to his injuries there.
Police say Kekana was a bread-winner for his family, and his family asked that a reward be made available to help bring justice.
Honeydew police wrote to the deputy provincial commissioner of crime detection to apply for the reward, which was approved.
Muthan said Honeydew police mentioned in their application that this is a serious crime and there is an interest in the community as to how police deal with crimes of this nature.
They will continue to ask for information from the public about this crime.
