Ward 134 councillor hopes to create a stronger connection within the community

Devon Steenkamp, Ward 134 councillor, welcomes back all the residents from the holiday. “I hope you had a restful and joyful holiday season with your loved ones. As we step into 2025, I look forward to working together to build a better Ward 134.”

He continued, that in 2025 he aims to strengthen community engagement through improved service delivery, drive initiatives for safer and cleaner neighbourhoods, and advocate for sustainable infrastructure development.

“I hope to see more residents actively participating in shaping the future of our ward and city. I look forward to working with residents, community organisations, and my colleagues to address key issues like water and electricity reliability, road maintenance, and safety improvements. I am also excited about creating stronger connections within the community.”

He urged residents to focus on hope, resilience, and unity as they enter the new year. “We can overcome challenges and make our community a shining example of what can be achieved when we work together, and a reminder to work with your councillor, not against them. May 2025 bring peace, prosperity, and progress to all.”
