After the welcome, some residents walked to the nearby Bordeaux South Park on Main Street, while others enjoyed a lively game of bingo in the dining hall.
The JOY Dogs, famous for their calm nature and friendly charm, made a special appearance at the park, where residents and visitors had a chance to pet them and take photos.

The dogs then joined the group on the walk back to the village, creating more smiles along the way. Once everyone had returned, a prize-giving ceremony celebrated both the bingo winners and participants in the walkathon.

Flender Corporate volunteers handed out thoughtful gifts to each resident, bringing more cheer to the home. This was followed by a delicious lunch, enjoyed together in good company.

The day ended on a touching note, with warm blankets handed out to the residents of the care centre, ensuring that everyone felt both physically and emotionally cared for.

The Mandela Day program brought together fun, community, and compassion values that Tata Madiba himself lived by. It was a day that reminded all present of the power of kindness and unity.
