“A Happy New Year to all. We hope this year is filled with joy, not just for you, but for everyone in our society who may benefit from volunteer support,” said Xihluke Mabasa, spokesperson for the group.
Looking ahead to 2026, the volunteers are keen to expand their work. “We hope to work with new organisations, the government, and the public to extend our events throughout Gauteng.”

The group is committed to making a difference, spreading joy, and touching lives wherever they can.
Shinchonji Volunteers are also encouraging community members to get involved. They plan to appear on local radio stations to publicise upcoming events and explain how people can contribute. A sign-up sheet is available online for anyone interested in participating. “Those who sign up will be notified of our events and how they can help.”
The volunteers are most excited about seeing the positive impact of their work. “As always, we look forward to spreading joy and love throughout the communities we work with.”
