Randburg SPCA sets bold goals for 2026

As 2026 begins, the Randburg SPCA looks forward to new welfare projects, improved resources, and more success stories of rescued animals finding safe and loving homes.

The Randburg SPCA has started the New Year with a clear message of gratitude and purpose.

Cynthia Swanepoel, from the society, says the organisation is stepping into 2026 with renewed hope, after a year shaped by strong community support. “

As we step into a brand-new year, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to every supporter, partner, and friend who stood beside us throughout 2025. Your compassion, generosity, and belief in our mission made a real and lasting impact.”

Swanepoel outlined the Randburg SPCA’s focus for the year ahead. “In 2026, our goal is to strengthen our rescue efforts, expand community outreach, and improve the quality of care for every animal. We aim to secure more sustainable resources, enhance public education, and create safer environments for animals in need.”

Looking ahead, she says the team is excited about deepening relationships with the community, launching more welfare programmes, and celebrating success stories, which remind them why their work is so important. “Most of all, we are excited to see more animals healed, homed, and given the second chances they deserve.”

Swanepoel also encouraged residents to get involved in practical and meaningful ways. She says support can come in many forms. “Donate blankets, food, or essential supplies. Volunteer your time, or contribute financially to help fund medical care and shelter improvements.”

She adds that sharing campaigns and choosing to adopt instead of shop can make a real difference. “Every gesture, big or small, makes a significant difference.”

As the organisation and community move into 2026 together, Swanepoel shared a warm message of hope.

“We wish our community a year filled with kindness, growth, and compassion. Thank you for standing with us and believing in the work we do. Together, we can create a brighter, safer, more loving world for every animal.”

The Randburg SPCA encourages residents to stay engaged throughout the year and continue supporting the welfare of animals in need.
