After ending 2025 with a loss, Fourie was locked. This statement victory shows that he is back and ready for 2026. He explained that the win is probably one of the best feelings. “After a loss, your head just goes through much, and yourself as a person is lost a bit, but then after such a performance, it just boosts your self-confidence on another level. There is always pressure on us fighters, but I take it as good pressure and just go all out, try to prove myself right, and do everything I can for myself. If there is no pressure, then you are doing something wrong.”

K9 displayed good boxing skills and maturity against Bilal. The stoppage win was also important for him as he had just entered a division and a bigger weight class. “I just entered a new division and had a lot of people worried about how I would perform in a bigger weight class. If I still have power or can take a punch, I certainly showed all of them what K9 is still about. I knew I had to start quickly and finish quickly because it was only a six-rounder. I always prepared for 10 or 12 rounds, so I knew I was fit and ready for this stoppage.”

He added that they focused on more aggression in camp so he can go all out and not feel a thing. “It’s always good performing on ABP promotion. They take good care of me as a person because they know how dedicated I am. At the moment, I’m still getting my feet in the welterweight division, but as I said before, any man that can make 66kg can come get it.”
