Guest Resource Services marks 30 years of transforming lives

From humble beginnings to three decades of impact, Guest Resource Services marked 30 years of transforming adult education, inclusivity, and skills development.

Guest Resource Services celebrated its 30th anniversary on June 11 at an event that highlighted its evolution from modest beginnings into a pillar of excellence in adult education.

The organisation was founded in June 1996, and initially provided customer service, diversity, and leadership training.

Over three decades, it has grown into a key player in collaborative skills development.

The celebration featured an address by Tom Mkhwanazi, CEO of the Wholesale & Retail SETA, while beneficiary Paul Mmakau, a differently abled individual who joined as a learner in 2017, shared his inspiring journey to becoming a permanent employee.

In her keynote address, founder and CEO Dr. Wilma Guest-Mouton reflected on navigating challenges over the past 30 years, including embracing digital learning innovations during the Covid-19 pandemic.

She anchored the organisation’s future vision on the road less travelled.

“When ordinary people commit themselves to an extraordinary purpose, they create a legacy that lives far beyond themselves.”
