Honeydew police seize R300m cocaine in North Riding plot raid
An altered SUV with false plates was also impounded after intelligence led officers to a massive drug discovery in Randburg.
Honeydew police seized suspected cocaine with an estimated street value of R300m during an intelligence-driven operation in North Riding.
The operation was carried out after police received information about suspected illicit drug-related activities at a plot in the area.
Members of Honeydew police acted on the intelligence and conducted an operation at the property, recovering the suspected cocaine.

Police also seized a black Land Cruiser SUV during the operation.
According to the SAPS Johannesburg District Lieutenant Colonel Mpho Tshetlhane, the vehicle allegedly displayed false registration numbers and had an altered vehicle identification number.
Tshetlhane confirmed that no arrests had been made in connection with the seizure at this stage.
“Police investigations are continuing to establish the circumstances surrounding the seizure,” Tshetlhane said.
She added that police would continue to intensify intelligence-driven operations aimed at disrupting the illicit drug trade and other serious crimes, and work with stakeholders and communities to address criminal activities.
