KJD represents at Korean culture day

MALANSHOF – KJD Martial Arts Academy made Joburg proud when they participated in the Korean Culture Day.

The Korean Culture day was held at the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town and Grand Master Eun Woo Lee of KJD Martial Arts Academy in Malanshof took his team to participate in a demonstration.

Lee had students from Randburg, Vanderbijl Park, Sasolburg and Cape Town gathered together for the event on 2 December.

It was organised in partnership with the Korean Embassy cultural society, which brought a vibrant celebration of the Korean culture. “The Korean Ambassador, Dong-Gyou Choi from Pretoria and his consulates organised this very successful event,” said Lorraine Lee.

Each student performed different styles of martial arts such as yup chuggi and 9th Dan.

Local dance and voice talent with international musical guests, as well as stalls showcasing other elements of Korean culture, such as a traditional game of baduk was seen by all.
