ROODEPOORT – Golf day to raise funds for worthy cause
Golfers who want to play for a worthy charity are all invited to sign up for the Roodepoort SPCA Golf Day that will take place at Eagle Canyon Golf Estate on 28 October.
SPCA fundraising manager Nicole Manners explained that every cent raised on the day will go toward the SPCA.
She said, “It will be a four-ball alliance competition, where every team will receive two golf carts for use during the day. Each golfer will also receive a goodie bag upon arrival with a surprise in it for each golfer.”
Manners added that the entry fee will include green fees, a snack for lunch at the clubhouse and a dinner at the end of the day during the prize-giving ceremony.
“In addition to the goodie bag, every single golfer will receive a prize at the prize-giving ceremony.”
SPCA manager Mandi Cattanach mentioned that it will be a lovely event for the beginner, as well as the more serious golfer, and water points will be positioned around the golf course to keep the players cool during the day.
Manners concluded by saying: “Interested golfers can give me a call, or send me an email to obtain more information about the event.”
