The streets of Randfontein came alive on August 22 as the Soweto Field Band teamed up with the Field Band Association for a colourful parade at Village Square Mall.

Brass instruments, drums and energetic performances entertained shoppers and residents while showcasing the talents of young musicians.

The parade was brought together by the Field Band Foundation, an NPO that gives young people in townships access to music, dance and life-skills training through marching bands.

The event was also supported by Lesaka, a full-service fintech company, helping bring the celebration of music and youth talent to the Randfontein community.
