Antoinette reaches Top 22

Antoinette de Beer is a 28-year old Christian, mother, wife and businesswoman from Randfontein. She recently reached the finals of the Mrs South Africa Pageant.

On 1 June, during the Cansa Ball at Emperors palace, the Top-22 Finalists for Mrs South-Africa 2013 were announced after a day of intense judging. Randfontein’s very own Antoinette de Beer was chosen as one of the Top 22-Finalists to compete for the crown.

“All of my life I have been competing in beauty pageants, from Miss Hoërskool Jan Viljoen where I went to school, and was chosen as one of the finalists from the year 2000-2002, to Miss Randfontein show where I was chosen as secondPrincess as well as Miss Photogenic in 2002 and first Princess in 2005,” says Antoinette.

Antoinette explains that the reason she entered the Mrs South-Africa pageant is because she believes that there is still good in the world. She also believes that Mrs South-Africa is the perfect platform to lead by example and try to show people that there are still people who care and the difference one can make by just giving someone in need just a minute of your time as she firmly believes your time is the best gift you can give anyone.

“Rainbow Daycare Centre is one of my charities, which is very close to my heart, as it is a daycare centre for physically and mentally disabled children between the ages of 3- and 18 years.

“I am also involved with Cansa, and I am very proud to say that I am part of the committee for the very first Cansa Relay for Life to be held in Randfontein,” says Antoinette.

Aside from all the charity work Antoinette is involved in, she makes her living as a qualified make-up artist at her own business.

She is also a proud mother of a gorgeous 3-year old little girl.

“I am a Christian woman who lives every day as if it is my last and I believe that I can do anything through Christ, who gives me strength.

“My husband is my rock. Without his understanding, support, patience and love, none of this would have been possible. I want to thank everybody for all their support during my journey for Mrs South-Africa,” says Antoinette.
