CPF to hold another meeting

The Randfontein CPF will host a crime prevention meeting on 9 July.

The Randfontein Community Policing Forum (CPF) has invited residents to attend a crime prevention meeting at the Randfontein Rugby Club on 9 July.

The meeting is scheduled for 6pm.

According to the newly elected Deputy Chairperson of the CPF, Warren Anderson, the aim of the meeting is to get more people on board in order to strengthen their fight against criminal activities in communities.

Another issue to be tabled at the meeting is the feedback on what the structure has done thus far since its inception on 19 June.

The meeting will be for residents who reside in Sector 4, namely Greenhills, Culemborg Park, Helikon Park, Eike Park, Randpoort, Randgate and Homelake, where break-ins and armed robberies are said to be on the rise.

According Anderson, the attendance at the previous meetings had vastly improved compared to other meetings held during previous months.

“We may not be where we want to be in terms of our CPF structure but we are not where we used to be and that shows some improvement.

“It is becoming more evident that residents are showing concern with regards to their safety,” says Anderson.

“We have declared a war against criminals and we are prepared to go the extra mile to combat crime.

“We want criminals to know that our homes as well as our communities will no longer be their playground and we will constantly gather to fight them.

“It is only a matter of time before we take our communities back from criminals,” says Anderson.

Anyone who might need more information on the meeting can contact Anderson on 073 076 0067.
