Nominate your teacher for the Argo Stars

If you know a teacher that walks the extra mile to make a differance in his/ her community, nominate them for the Argo Stars in Education Award as enteries are now open.

Argo’s Stars in Education is an annual campaign that recognizes teachers who go the extra mile in their communities by being inspirational role models to those around them, changing lives through their actions.

It was Argo, the multi-media solutions provider, that realised that teachers are not being recognised enough for the invaluable role they play within their communities.

Staying true to its brand values “to inform, involve and inspire”, Argo decided to start the Stars in Education project, and in just six years it has grown from strength to strength with a quality and variety of entries that is truly inspiring.

The organisers of the awards encourages pupils to send their uplifting stories about teachers who have shone in a project outside of the classroom and have gone above and beyond in their communities, creating a positive ripple effect throughout the region it touches.

As Stars in Education has flourished, these inspiring initiatives have also attracted numerous sponsors, including TSB, Mindset TV, Metro FM, SACE and of course, Argo.

The competition is hosted nationwide with the awards taking place later this year.

You too can be a part of recognising and building excellence in the education landscape of South Africa by submitting your entries for the Stars in Education Award.

Entries close at the end of August and parents, teachers, pupils and the general public are invited to enter community projects managed or started by exceptional teachers for the Stars in Education Awards 2013 by contacting Argo on 021 865 2813 or Lauren@argo.org.za
