The Randfontein police have launched a massive manhunt for six dangerous suspects that are still roaming the streets, possibly armed.
This comes after they were involved in a business robbery at the Cabana Fast Foods in Randfontein on 20 November at approximately 3.40pm.
According to Randfontein SAPS spokesperson Captain Appel Ernst, the men entered the shop heavily armed and held everyone at gunpoint.
“The suspects entered the shop and immediately demanded that employees empty their cash registers and hand over all airtime vouchers and other goods in the shop.
“They also robbed four customers at the shop and we believe they took their cellphones among other items as well prior to their getaway,” says Ernst.
She adds that at this stage, three ID kits of the suspects have been compiled with the assistance of the witnesses at the scene and a manhunt for the suspect continues.
“We believe that once we arrest one of them, the rest will follow,” says Ernst.
