Richie Benaud passes away at age 84.

The cricket world is once again in mourning with the news that former Australian cricket captain Richie Benaud, 84, known as the voice of cricket passed away on Friday.

According to Australian media ABC News “Benaud died in his sleep overnight after a battle with skin cancer”.

Richie was not only a famous cricketer and legend commentator, but also a journalist and author.

He retired from the game in the early 1960s.

It also has to be noted that Richie never lost a series as Australian captain. He was a right-handed batsman and spin bowler.
