Man dies in fatal stab attack

Randfontein police investigate case of murder.

Police are investigating a case of murder after a 43-year-old man died in hospital in a fatal stab attack in Hillside recently.

Captain Appel Ernst, Randfontein Police spokesperson confirmed, “The man died in hospital as a result of an assault last weekend.

“It is alleged that the deceased was collected at Hillside on Sunday 3 May at approximately 8pm and had multiple stab wounds. He was rushed to a local hospital for treatment. Police were not informed of the incident since only the paramedics were called to the scene.

“The victim then on Monday 4 May died in hospital due to his injuries.

“Currently the circumstances surrounding the murder are unclear and investigation into the matter is receiving attention.”
