At least 19 people were injured when a bus’s brakes allegedly failed on Christiaan de Wet Road in the West Rand on Thursday morning ER24 said.
According to ER24 spokesperson Pieter Rossouw, “When the passenger of the bus realised there was something wrong, all of them allegedly jumped off the bus through the windows.
“When paramedics arrived on scene they found that 19 people had sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate. ER24 treated and transported a total of 11 patients to Garden City Hospital for further treatment. The remaining patients were transported by other services.”
The cause of the incident still remains unknown.
