Man in his fifties killed in shooting incident on the West Rand.

A man was shot and killed in Krugersdorp on the West Rand on Sunday Netcare 911 said.

According to Netcare 911 spokesperson, Santi Steinmann, “Paramedics and other services responded to a shooting incident on Cecil Knight Street in Rant en Dal, Krugersdorp on Sunday night.

“Upon their arrival at the scene, paramedics found that members of the community was busy performing CPR on a man, believed to be in his fifties, after he sustained gunshot wounds. The man was lying partially on the roadway.

“Paramedics immediately started with resuscitation on the man but he tragically lost his life due to the extensive injuries sustained during the shooting incident.

“There was nothing further that could be done for the man and he was declared dead at the scene.”

Exact detail surrounding the cause of the shooting incident and preceding events will remain the subject of a police investigation.
