Cancer awareness at W’aria Primary

Grade 6 and 7 boys educated on testicular cancer.

The African Survivor Foundation (ASF) held a testicular cancer awareness talk and practical demonstration on how to do a self examination at Westonaria Primary School on Monday 27 June.

The ASF was invited by school principal Billy Hutton to reach out to the Grade 6 and 7 boys regarding this important issue.

“We also emphasised the importance of doing this examination and discussed the signs and symptoms of testicular cancer,” Hutton said.

Pamphlets were handed out to the boys explaining the importance of regular self examinations. The ASF thanks Hutton and his school for inviting them to do this awareness talk.

Milka Ramatswana from the Department of Education was present at the event.
