A 27-year-old man recently was held up at gunpoint while handing in money at a business in Homelake.
The incident took place at around 3.55pm on Wednesday, 16 March. It is believed there was more than one suspect.
According to Captain Appel Ernst, Randfontein Police spokesperson, the victim was just about to hand the money in when he was approached from the behind and held up at gunpoint.
Ernst said the victim had a gun held to his head while one suspect demanded the money he was carrying.
They took the money and then the suspects fled in a vehicle,” she added.
Fortunately no injuries were sustained and no shots were fired.
