Delivery personnel recently were robbed and taken several kilometres away by three men in balaclava’s, Randfontein Police said.
The personnel were targeted at around 7.50am on Thursday, 24 March at the Total garage on the R28.
Captain Appel Ernst, Randfontein Police spokesperson explained the personnel were allegedly busy delivering tobacco products when a charcoal Audi A3 parked behind them.
One of the three occupants in this vehicle allegedly jumped out and pointed the victims with a firearm,” Ernst said.
This was not the end of the incident as the victims were forced to get into the vehicle and were instructed to lie down by the suspects. They were later dropped off in Kagiso, extension 6.
“The suspects allegedly also took their delivery vehicle to the same place but the goods inside the vehicle were missing. The suspects were allegedly wearing balaclava’s during the incident. No injuries were reported,” Ernst said.
