Police nab 378 suspects in one week

13 police stations take to the streets with one goal in mind - fighting crime.

The West Rand Cluster Police took to the streets to take make them safer for residents.

All 13 stations in the West Rand Cluster were out in full force during a police clampdown operation one week in May and arrested 378 suspects.

Arrests were made for:

• Murder

• Rape

• Robberies

• Possession of stolen motor vehicles

• Possession of suspected stolen properties

• Possession of unlicensed firearm

• Fraud

• House breaking and theft

• Theft

• House and business robberies

• Drunk driving

• Illegal mining

• Trespassing

• Selling liquot without a license

• Drunkenness

• Illegal crossing of a railway line

West Rand Cluster Commander, Major General Mateisi commended all the officer involved in making the arrests.
