Woman abducted, raped by two men

Police are urging residents to come forward with information.

A woman was abducted against her will some time ago, before being raped by two men in an open veld.

The Krugersdorp Family Violence, Child Abuse and Sexual Offences Unit (FCS) is urgently requesting the assistance of the public in this rape case.

According to Captain Ernst, Randfontein Police spokesperson, the incident took place on 8 July. Two suspects travelling in a white VW Golf allegedly captured and forced the victim into the vehicle against her will and drove around with her. Eventually, both raped her in an open veld.

The victim was fortunately able to assist the Police in compiling identikits.

First suspect:

• Sex: Male

• Age: Approximately 30

• Complexion: Coffee-coloured

• Height: Approximately 1,7 metres

• Last seen in: A blue sweater and jeans

Second suspect:

• Sex: Male

• Age: Approximately 30

• Complexion: Dark

• Height: Approximately 1,68 metres

• Hair: Black, brush cut

• Language: Tswana

• Last seen in: Black tracksuit pants with a black Nike sweater

The investigating officer, Warrant Officer Marie Strooh would appreciate any information that might lead to the arrest of the two suspects. She can be reached at the FCS offices in Krugersdorp on 011 951 1111. Information can also be communicated anonymously to Crime Stop on 08600 10111 (toll free).
