The Bekkersdal Police have released an identikit of the man who allegedly raped a 16-year-old in Simunye.
The rape occurred on Tuesday, 22 January, at approximately 4.40pm when the teenager was walking through the open veld between Simunye Extensions 2 and 4.
The victim was grabbed from behind after passing a group of boys and girls and was raped and threatened with her life.
After the incident, she managed to assist the police in drawing up an identikit of her attacker.
The rapist has not yet been apprehended and the Bekkersdal Police are still calling on the community to assist them in finding the man.
