A case of house breaking and theft was reported to the police but the suspect was not arrested.
“Constable Thembinkosi Mapoloba made a breakthrough when he arrested the suspect on 19 August in the Bekkersdal area, and he was denied bail.
“Through investigation led by Constable Tshepo Mashala, most of the stolen property was recovered and the suspect was convicted and sentenced by the Westonaria Magistrate Court on 26 September,” Lefakane said.
The acting station commander, Lieutenant Colonel Benitta Shibiri, applauded the members for the job well done and thanked the community for the information that led to the recovery of the stolen property.
