Five men target Eike Park home – Woman the victim

A woman returned to her Eike Park home where she was overpowered by five armed men who forced her inside the house. They fled with stolen items as well as her vehicle.

Police are investigating a house robbery after five men targeted a house in Eike Park on Monday (30 October).

The incident happened at about 5.45pm.

According to Captain Appel Ernst, Randfontein Police spokesperson, “It is alleged the 37-year-old victim arrived home and was overpowered by approximately five unknown armed men. They forced her into her residence.

“The house was ransacked and the men took valuables such as cellphones and laptops. The men fled in the victim’s vehicle, a grey/charcoal Mazda 3 with registration number TXN 951GP,” said Ernst.

The West Rand Trio Task Team is investigating the case and any information regarding the incident or the whereabouts of the vehicle may be communicated on the number 079 496 6288.

No serious injuries to the victim or her family were reported.
