Celebrating an early Christmas

The children were smiling from ear to ear.

Village Square Shopping Centre hosted a festive charity party for the Rainbow Day Care Centre based in Randfontein on Thursday, 7 December.

The centre hosted 32 children and nine care givers.

This is an annual initiative by the centre and is also the second time they decided to spoil the children from the centre. The kids of the day care were treated to a fun-filled day, during which they also had their photos taken with Santa. They were smiling from ear to ear.

They first enjoyed a delicious meal sponsored by Nandos with a burger and a cold drink each. After the meal came the photo shoot, which was sponsored by Photo First. Shoprite also decided to come on board and assist the cause by giving each child a lucky packet, while Village Spices also felt the need to contribute, and gave each child a sweet.

“We feel so fortunate that the centre chose us. The children all had smiles on the faces and this is an extra special Christmas,” said social worker, Tatum Solomons.
