Church still has no home after 10 years
Despite our 10-year existence, We Worship One Place Pastors in SA still doesn't have a home to worship in.
Despite being in existence for 10 years, Sikhonza Ndawonye (We Worship One Place) Pastors in SA still doesn’t have a home from which to worship.

Sikhkhonza Ndawonye pastors and congregants recently came together at the Mohlakeng Recreation Centre for their annual year-end festive get-together service. They are a group of African indigenous churches referred to as the Apostolic Zionist Church or Apo Zion, which emanates from a popular gospel music show on Soweto TV.
“We have a different set of rules and we worship from within shacks. We have taken this up with the municipality,” said Archbishop Johannes Shibambo.
“Since 2015 we have been holding festive get-together services at the Mohlakeng Recreation Centre. We even struggled to use the Recreation Centre as it seems they do not want to recognise us,” added Archbishop Johannes Khenyane.
“We are not pleased with the way our local council treats us. We had meetings with the mayor to tell him that we want to have land so that we can avoid using shacks as places of worship. We also find it difficult to use the local halls. It seems council has a preference for certain churches, but they are quick to come to us come election time,” said Archbishop Meshack Sekorobele.

“We met with the council in August, but the outcome was not pleasant. They did, however, indicate that we should meet them again on 18 January 2018. We’d also like to thank the Herald for the coverage of our events.
“This year-end function is our way of giving thanks to God. We Zionists pastors and congregants have encountered many challenges throughout the year but we have grown into more than ten congregations and have hope for a better outcome next time around,” said Pastor Mkhonza.
