Forty-four fines issued in massive roadblock

It's said 44 fines were issued in a joint roadblock operation held on the N12 yesterday.

At least 44 fines were issued during a joint roadblock held on the N12 in Westonaria on Friday (22 June).

The roadblock was a joint operation between police from Westonaria and Bekkersdal, traffic police from Gauteng and Rand West City as well as CPF patrollers.

The purpose was to enforce road traffic laws and maintain law and order. Photo submitted.

Colonel Netshitangani, the West Rand Cluster Police spokesperson said the purpose was to prevent the possible transportation of stolen goods, tracing of stolen/ hijacked motor vehicles, enforce road traffic laws and maintain law and order.
