What’s U3A up to?

The U3A West Rand has a interesting talk, a luncheon and an exciting day-trip for retirees coming up.

The U3A West Rand has three exciting events for retirees coming up.

On 10 July, Dr Denise Bjorkman will be giving a talk on Digital Addiction in the vestry at the NG Kerk Wilgespruit, on the corner of Mimosa and Wag-‘n-Bietjie Streets at 9.15am, for 10.00am. The U3A West Rand will also have their monthly meeting during the gathering. Tea and biscuits will be served for R5 a cup.

The U3A West Rand will hold a luncheon at Cattleman’s Kitchen in Muldersdrift on 18 July. The luncheon will start at 11.30am for 12.00 noon.

Marthie Coetzer from U3A West Rand said that their most exciting event is the upcoming trip to Bronkhorstspruit. “The people really enjoyed the previous trip,” she said. They are going on a day trip to Bronkhorstspruit and the Nan Hau Buddist Temple on 22 August. From there they will go to Cullinan and be taken on an above-ground tour of the diamond mine.

Join the U3A for R70 per annum for interesting talks, outings, and affordable lunches, and meet other retirees who possibly share the same interests as you. To be part of these events, contact Marthie Coetzer on 083 297 9565.
