Horror on Far West Rand: Two dead, 29 injured
Two people died and almost 30 others injured when a bus, truck and vehicle collided on the far West Rand during the weekend.
Two people were killed and 29 others injured in a collision between a bus, a truck and a light motor vehicle on the N12 outside Fochville on the Far West Rand on Sunday, 8 July.
Russel Meiring, ER24 spokesperson, said ER24 paramedics, along with several other services, arrived on the scene shortly after 7pm to find the truck and light motor vehicle in the left-hand lane of the road. The bus had veered off to the side of the road. Numerous people were found either walking or lying around on the scene.

He said upon closer inspection, paramedics found a man and woman lying inside the light motor vehicle.
“Both patients had sustained numerous injuries and showed no signs of life. Paramedics treated the patients and provided them with advanced life support interventions. Unfortunately, no vital signs returned and they were declared dead.
