#WisdomWednesday: What to do if you encounter snakes
VIDEO: Expert advises people on what to do if encountering snakes at their homes after two incidents of them moving closer to some R'fontein homes were reported.
Following numerous complaints about snakes in homes in Randfontein, the Herald approached local expert, Jonathan Leeming, to find out what you should do if you encounter one of these slithery serpents.
In the first incident, a child was bitten on the finger while playing in the veld in the area.
According to Linda Nagel, the grandmother of the boy, “Luckily the snake wasn’t poisonous and the wound wasn’t that serious.”
In another incident, a snake had to allegedly be killed after it came too close to a home on a plot in the area, raising fear among the residents.
