Police, CPF, others continue working together against crime
Several arrests were made in Randfontein during a joint rural safety operation by local police, the CPF and other stakeholders on Thursday morning.
The fight against crime and the clamp-down on all criminal activity continued on the R41 in Randfontein early on Thursday morning (31 January).
Members of the Randfontein Police, Community Policing Forum (CPF), Rand West City Traffic Department and Department of Immigration joined forces and held a rural safety operation from about 8am.
Although official details and the exact number of arrests made during the operation are yet to be revealed, the Herald can confirm that vehicles were searched for possible illegal firearms or other illicit items.
Several illegal immigrants were arrested.
