JUST IN: Body found in Ten Acres

Passerby finds body of man with multiple head injuries next to R559 in Ten Acres early Saturday morning.

The body of an unknown man was discovered by a member of the public next to the R559 in Ten Acres early Saturday morning (2 February).

Carmen Hendricks, Randfontein Police spokesperson confirmed they are investigating a case of murder.

“At about 9am, an on-duty police officer and his colleague received a complaint of a man found lying next to the R559. On the scene, a community member pointed out the body to them.

The man had four open wounds to his head and medical health practitioners declared the man dead on scene. The motive for the killing is unknown at this stage.”

Randfontein Police detectives urge the public to come forward with any information regarding the incident that could assist them to bring those responsible to book.
