Two fun events for pensioners in March
This month, U3A will have an informative monthly meeting and a delicious lunch at Little Miss Muffin.
U3A West Rand is inviting all pensioners to meet new people and have an adventurous March.
Besides their exciting and informative monthly meeting on 12 March, they will also be visiting Little Miss Muffin on 20 March.
Their monthly meeting will take place at NG Kerk Wilgespruit on the corner of Mimosa and Wag-‘n-Bietjie Street, Wilro Park in Roodepoort at 9.15am
“The speaker will be Peter Greaves and he will tell us about his adventure on New Britain Island in the Bismarck Archipelago,” said Marthie Coetzer from U3A West Rand.
“We invite all retirees to join us for monthly meetings with talks on stimulating subjects, outings to interesting places and lunches to enjoy at garden restaurants all over the West Rand,” she said.
U3A’s aim is to help pensioners make new friends, get them involved in presentations by various speakers and go on interesting day outings.
Their biggest event of March will be their delicious lunch on the 20th.
“Members of U3A will visit Little Miss Muffin restaurant in Poortview just off Doreen Road for a delicious lunch. Join us at the U3A and get to know people of your own age with shared interests.”
