Water shutdown postponed — valve installation to commence at a later stage

Rand Water has postponed its valve installation and residents can breathe a sigh of relief.

Residents of Mogale City and surrounding areas were alerted to a scheduled disruption in the water supply from today, 29 April.

According to a statement by Rand Water, the utility had scheduled a 54-hour shutdown on their B11 pipeline to allow its technicians to install a 2 000mm valve on the pipeline.

However, Rand Water announced a few minutes ago that the shutdown and valve installations have been postponed until further notice.

• City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality

• Mogale City Local Municipality

• Rand West City Local Municipality

• Merafong City Local Municipality

• Emfuleni Local Municipality

• Rustenburg Local Municipality

• Metsimaholo Local Municipality
