Zak Valentine stood tall with a grim look on his face while Judge Francis handed down his sentence.

It’s D-Day in the South Gauteng High Court with Judge Ellem Jacob Francis starting the sentencing of the last remaining three accused in the case of the Krugersdorp murders which shocked not only the community of Krugersdorp, but the country as a whole.

Earlier last week, Valentine’s social worker testified that he believed he was framed for the crimes and that someone had to be implicated to bring closure to a very public case.

A calm en composed Valentine listened as Judge Francis handed down his sentence – eight life sentences, to run concurrently, with 78 years collectively, also to run concurrently with the life sentences, for the other counts against him.

The next to hear her fate is Cecilia Steyn who is considered the mastermind behind these heinous crimes.
