JUST IN: Municipality confirms – employees on strike

The Rand West City Local Municipality (RWCLM) has confirmed that its employees are currently on strike.

According to Tshidiso Thlaripe, RWCLM spokesperson, this will affect all departments of the municipality.

The Herald was able to confirm that the Licensing Department is one of the affected departments.

“All municipal employees are on strike and it affects all departments. We will only know exactly what the strike is about after having received a memorandum.”
