The Father’s Day gift that keeps on giving

Why not get the whole family to club in and spoil your dad with a state-of-the-art TV?

Soap on a rope. Cartoon socks. A four-pack of underwear. We’re past those dull Father’s Day gifts, right?

Perhaps we should be.

According to Jaco Joubert, SKYWORTH brand manager, there are two reasons why buying a Father’s Day gift can be tricky.

One, dads often have many of the things they already need (or at least that’s what they think) and two, they can be too low-key when it comes to asking or hinting for the things they actually want.”

But, he pointed out, what is the one thing that all dads love to do? Watch TV and everything that comes along with that like eating in front of the TV, screaming profanities at the TV (most likely a sports match) and falling asleep in front of the TV.

“Plus, we’re spending so much time at home right now, so why not get the whole family to club in and spoil your dad with a state-of-the-art TV?” said Jaco.

He said with many of the sporting codes such as soccer starting up again, albeit in our new normal post Covid-19 world without fans in the stadium, who’s to say your dad can’t bring the stadium to him with a brand-new television?

It’s the gift that keeps on giving, for the entire family; it just so happens to be Father’s Day.
