Clinic closed after confirmed Covid-19 case
Second public service premises closes temporarily due to Covid-19 - this time a clinic.
Mohlakeng Clinic has been closed temporarily this morning Wednesday, 1 July after one person tested positive for Covid-19.
Thuso Montwedi, West Rand District Health Services spokesperson said, “The positive case was confirmed yesterday (Tuesday 30 June). Therefore, the process of fumigating the premises was started immediately. The clinic will remain closed until further notice.”
This is the second public service premises to be closed temporarily in a matter of days due to staff being infected.
Yesterday, 30 June, the Rand West City Local Municipality (RWCLM) has given notice that its main office building will be closed until Thursday, 2 July.
Tshidiso Thlaripe, RWCLM spokesperson, confirmed to the Herald on Tuesday morning, 30 June, that the municipal manager notified the public of the closure on 29 June after an employee tested positive for Covid-19.
