Rand West City’s Covid-19 cases now at 558; two new deaths in District

Total Covid-19 cases reported in the West Rand District as at 30 June is 2 744, with 17 deaths and 681 recoveries – 208 new cases.

As at 30 June, the number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Rand West City has risen to 558, according to Gauteng Provincial Government’s latest breakdown of Covid-19 cases. A total of 112 people have recovered so far.

Mogale City and Merafong City, which are also part of the West Rand District, have had 1 387 and 704 cases respectively. There are still 95 unallocated cases in this District as well. Mogale City and Merafong City have seen 217 and 352 recoveries respectively.

The total number of Covid-19 cases reported in the West Rand District as at 30 June is 2 744, with 17 deaths with 681 recoveries. There are 208 new cases.

In the neighbouring City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality Region C, which comprises Roodepoort, the number of confirmed cases to date stands at 2 520, with 806 recoveries.

The total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Gauteng was standing at 42 881, with 10 534 recoveries and 216 deaths. Currently 2 981 people are being treated for the virus in public and private hospitals in the province.
