Westonaria crash leaves five injured, including child

'Medics assessed the patients and found that all five had sustained minor to moderate injuries' – ER24.

Five people were injured including an 11-year-old boy when two light motor vehicles collided on the N12 in Westonaria on Thursday night (2 July).

Russel Meiring, ER24 spokesperson said they arrived on the scene at about 9pm to find the two light motor vehicles parked on the side of the road.

“Several people were found walking around on the scene. Medics assessed the patients and found that all five had sustained minor to moderate injuries. Fortunately, no serious injuries or fatalities were found on the scene. The patients were treated for their injuries and were thereafter transported to nearby hospitals for further care.”

Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
