VIDEO: Racing with Celebs – Randfonteiners make it happen!
'We already have Season 3 confirmed, and we will be filming some episodes in Randfontein.'
Racing with Celebs is a show to which different celebrities are invited to come and race real race cars around the tracks in South Africa.
Making it happen are the producer, director and co-host all based in Greenhills in Randfontein. They are filming the series between Pretoria and Vereeniging.
According to Johan Snyman, the presenter and co-producer, Racing with Celebs uses the opportunity to take celebrities out of their comfort zones and let them experience the thrills and spills of driving a race car around the track. He said each show has a different celebrity and a different race series, so viewers can also learn more about the race series.
“We’re excited to continue the show,” said Billy Snyman, producer and director.
“The success of Season 1 has inspired us to film Season 2 and take it up a notch – covering all the sights and sounds of Racing with Celebs,” he added.
According to Snyman the second season promises to be more exciting than the first one.

Celebrities include Lionel Mapoe (rugby player), Hykie Berg (actor, motivational speaker), Mbali Nkosi (actress, presenter, dancer), Fanie de Villiers (ex-cricketer, international commentator), 7de Laanactor Reandi Grey, and artist Clint Aplon.
“The show is filmed across different race tracks in South Africa. It has received massive support from the viewers. With Season 2 promising to be more exciting, the viewers will surely not be disappointed as the crew are working around the clock to ensure they capture all the exciting moments and leaves nothing behind.”
Racing with Celebs Season 2 premiered on Saturday, 6 June on Ignition TV, DStv channel 189. The show airs on Saturdays at 4pm, with repeats on Sundays at noon and Tuesdays at 7pm.
