Toekies feeding scheme supports radio and DJ’s goal to feed 67 000 people

Toekomsrus Covid-19 feeding scheme in partnership with Jacaranda FM, Feed a Family and DJ Jazzy D to feed 67 000 people all over the country.

The Covid-19 feeding scheme once again served its community, this time on Mandela Day, by providing a warm meal to people in the area.

According to the chairperson of the Toekomsrus Covid-19 feeding scheme, Shadean Butler, they received a voucher from their partners to buy food. The food was delivered in four different stops in Toekomsrus and one in Westergloor.

“We are grateful to have contributed to Jacaranda FM and DJ Jazzy D‘s goal to feed 67 000 people as part of a nationwide campaign. We were glad to be among the chosen communities in the country.

“Serving the needy is the main reason why the Toekomsrus Covid-19 feeding scheme was established back in April. Mandela Day was another major opportunity to make a difference,” he said.
