Husband and wife delivers in the spirit of Madiba

'Every year we do this out of love and compassion towards our fellow human beings.'

Moss Maimane, a Toekomsrus physical trainer and community activist along with his wife Ivvy, a crèche owner, joined the world-wide celebration of Mandela Day by hosting their annual soup day at their Rose Street residence in Toekies.

Hundreds of community members benefited from their good deed.

Every year we do this out of love and compassion towards our fellow human beings. The spirit of Madiba is about sharing and caring.

“With the coronavirus situation poverty is at an all-time high and we wanted to make a small difference that means a lot,” said Moss.

“We have seen that there is indeed a need and appreciation of our efforts in the community. The response has been overwhelming. I want to thank Moss and Tercia Jacobs who is a worker at the crèche and has played an important role in this project for many years,” Ivvy added.
