School says no to gender-based violence

FJL Wells Primary School takes a stance against any form of gender-based violence.

FJL Wells Primary School has taken a stance against any form of gender-based violence (GBV) by means of a demonstration at the school premises on Thursday, 27 August.

Sello Mphatswe, the school spokesperson said with the scourge of the pandemic seen in society across the board in the private and public sector, homes and even places of worship, the school took the initiative to send a strong message to the public.

Mphatswe said there is a need for more action to be taken against perpetrators in order to protect the victims.

We can conquer this monster. Let’s stand together and say no to this violence-driven treatment towards women in society. We would also like to protect those who are vulnerable, such as women and children,” Mphatshwe said.
