Former Gauteng Premier and Minister of Water and Sanitation, Nomvula Mokonyane recently unveiled a memorial wall to commemorate Heritage Day and the birthday of the late Winnie Madikizela-Mandela. The wall is in a park situated on Mamabolo and Phukuile Streets in Mohlakeng.
Political activist Zodwa Mahlangu explained it was significant that Mokonyane be given this honour for the role she played on the West Rand during the struggle days.
