Special celebration for special women

'They are not only there to make us pretty, but to listen to your heart and dreams, laugh with you and even cry with you. This make women feel special.' – owner.

Five make-up students and hairstylists of Elite Makeup Academy graduated during a ceremony held at Randfontein Rugby Club in Greenhills on Wednesday, 30 September.

Janine van Loggerenberg Ferreira, coordinator of the ceremony and owner of the academy said the ceremony was important as it gave the graduates an opportunity to become entrepreneurs.

All five women received certificates in 10 categories for all the respective skills they had shown in the last nine weeks during training.

“We want every make-up student to feel that their work is valued and appreciated; therefore, we decided to give them a thumbs-up for the great work they have been doing,” Janine said.

Janine also thanked those who showed their support, coming out to celebrate with the graduates on the big night.

People need to know that make-up artists and hairstylist are not only there to work on our faces and hair; most of the time they go beyond the call of duty and become life coaches and therapists. They are not only there to make us pretty, but to listen to your heart and dreams, laugh with you and even cry with you. This make women feel special,” Janine said.
